" ' Rebirth' is a combined art performance based on poetry by the distinguished Iranian poet Forugh Farrokhzad. The internationally recognised contemporary ballet dancer, Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam and the prodigious Australian-Iranian soprano singer Shirin Majd with her ensemble “ Sweet Sound” will be complimented by visual art to bring to life Farokhzad’s poems. Jordin Steele will narrate songs for the non-persian speaker."

In 2012, she was awarded best classical singer in BEMAC planet performances.
