* With a combination of lyrical honesty and charming melodies, Lizzie Flynn writes songs that blend a little satirical storytelling with a lot of joyful emotion. She has been a lead vocalist and songwriter for a variety of bands and theatrical productions and has toured throughout Australia. Lizzie has produced several independent albums, including Hush, which received an Arts Queensland Grant, with the title track described as ‘stunning’ Noel Mengel, The Courier Mail. Her latest album, You & The Open Sky, was launched in September 2017. It is a collection of original songs, which weave audiences through toe-tapping country to tender ballads with songs of lessons learned and love lost. Prisoner in my own Town, from the album, was shortlisted in the 2016 Vanda and Young Songwriter Awards.

Highlights of 2016/2017 included being featured as Album of the Week on ABC Radio Brisbane, performing live on NSW ABC radio and being interviewed by Christine Anu, composing songs for the theatre production of My Dead Bunny (2017) ‘Two Weeks with the Queen’(October 2016) and performing at (multiple festivals and venues around Oz).

* Penny and Roger: PENNY DAVIES and ROGER ILOTT “occupy a unique place in Australian music spanning the great divide between Folk and Country” (Trad & Now). Best known for their career-defining songs such as Hey Rain!, and Where the Cane Fires Burn, the highly-acclaimed couple have been together 37 years, and in that time have released 20 albums of exceptionally high quality Australian contemporary folk music. Their music is steeped in tradition, yet influenced strongly by the folk rock music of their personal musical history.
“Carefully crafted lyrics, narrative impetus, and beautiful close harmonies are strong features of their overall sound.” (Folk Rag). Hey Rain!, along with Where the Cane Fires Burn (from the duo’s 1999 CD Opal Miner – The Songs of Bill Scott), Beside a Railway Line, Ridin’ on the Fruit Train, The Monkeys Sing Soprano, and Nightfire have all featured on the ABC’s bestselling Australia All Over series of albums.
Three of their songs were included on MACCA’S AUSTRALIA ALL OVER TOP 100 album in 2012. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD1RukIPLntgYZekO-JoX2g
