DRAMAFEST 2018 FESTIVAL OF ONE–ACT PLAYS.
Once again Magda's is delighted to partner with Mates Theatre Genesis and Redlands Performing Arts Centre to bring DramaFest!
Dramafest, gives audiences a chance to sample bite-sized culture from theatre groups all over South East Queensland. Redland Performing Arts Centre* hosts its annual spread of exciting small plays in DramaFest 2018.
Comedy, tragedy, whimsy, philosophy – many fascinating takes on the human condition - 9 plays for an easily affordable $5 ticket that will get you into both sessions to enjoy a great variety of theatre in RPAC's contribution to the highly-regarded South East Queensland Drama Festival Circuit.
Performances: $5 covers both sessions. Purchase at the door.
Saturday: 1pm - 4.45pm; 5.45 - 9pm.
All plays will be adjudicated for awards by highly-regarded theatre director, drama educator, scholar, designer, writer, producer and consultant Michael Beh. Most recently he has worked on Queensland Theatre’s production of Once in Royal David’s City as the Brecht consultant and directed Uncle Vanya for new Brisbane company, The Curators ( at Magda's, August 2017).
He conducts ARC Adult Acting Classes in Brisbane and the Redlands.

DramaFest is driven by the wonderful Jan Nary - director of many, many productions. For Magda's she has directed: The Great Dark (at Magda's, 2016), Dames & Daredevils for Democracy at Magda's in 2017 and of the recent Magda's Dames production-on-the-road!
