You still reading? ..... Here's a bit more about Lisa:

Lisa Richard’s voice is so sweet and delicate that you could be forgiven for mistaking her for a naive 19 year old trying to find their way in the world. However, peak a little closer and this seasoned performer has five US released albums under her belt and one heck of a story to tell. Richards is now teasing album number six and her first ever Australian release with her first single " Water", a transcendent track that hovers somewhere in-between fiery strong and softly innocent.

After residing in the USA for 22 years Richards has returned to Australia to release A Light From The Other Side, an album that is inspired by the crumbling of her 14 year marriage or as Richards describes it “ a tsunami of change”. She counts her migration back to Australia as the light at the end of a very dark tunnel. This bittersweet mix of optimistic and languishing emotion shines bright throughout the album.

" Water" is an understated yet powerful way to introduce Lisa’s first ever Australian release. Inspired by unavoidable consequences the song sings of camaraderie and acceptance as Richards explains - " I wrote Water in New York City. My Austin life was hit by a tsunami of change over which I had absolutely no control. I had to go underground, to keep safe, I was ‘between lives’ as it were, being carried by the love and kindness of my friends who fed me and sheltered me and kept me safe. This song arose out of that space. A song about soldiers, war, regrets, being lost and human kindness and the need we have for each other."

" Water" along with the entire album was recorded with composer, song-writer and producer Greg J. Walker ( Paul Kelly, C.W Stoneking).
